Windows Server 2025 is Server operating system developed by Microsoft, it will be available in two main editions Windows Server 2025 Standard and Windows Server 2025 Datacenter. Server operating system is a type of operating system that is designed to run on a server and Server is a computer that provides various services to other computers such as clients. A single server can provide multiple services to clients, and a single client can use multiple servers. This tutorial shows you how to Install Windows Server 2025.
System Requirements for Install Windows Server 2025
Processor architecture: 64-bit
Processor speed: 1.4 Gigahertz (GHz)
RAM: 512 Megabytes (2 GB for Server with Desktop Experience installation option)
Hard disk drive space: 32 Gigabyte (GB)
Create a bootable DVD or USB installation media, insert it, and start your Computer. For VirtualBox, Hyper-V and VMware users only need to attach the ISO file during VM creation.
- Select installation language, Time and currency format and click Next.
2. Keyboard or input method and click Next
3. In Select setup option select Install Windows Server and click Next
4. Select the Windows Server 2025 edition to install and click Next. In this tutorial we choose Windows Server 2025 Datacenter (Desktop Experience).
Server Core Installation: In this option standard graphical user interface is not installed. you manage the server from the command line using PowerShell, cmd, Server Configuration tool, or by remote methods. The disk space requirement is smaller compared to Server with the Desktop Experience Installation.
Server with Desktop Experience Installation: In Server with Desktop Experience installs the standard graphical user interface and all tools, including client experience features. The disk space requirement is Larger compared to the Server with the Server Core Installation.
5. Read the License terms and agree to them and click Accept.
6. Select a partition to install Windows Server and Click Next. Select a partition to install Windows Server 2025, you can optionally create new one from available or use total available size.
7. Click Install to start installation
8. The installation will begin and will automatically reboot when the installation is complete.
9. The server automatically reboot after the installation, set password for the built-in Administrator and click Finish. The password must be at least 8 characters long, contain at least one capital letter, and be a combination of alphanumeric characters.
10. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to sign in
11. Enter the Administrator Password and press Enter.
12. Click Accept.
13. Windows Server 2025 Datacenter installation has been completed.
