Configure pfSense 2.7.2 Firewall
1. Access the pfsense web interface, Enter Username & Password, and click SIGN IN
Default Username and Password
- Username: admin
- Password: pfsense

2. This Wizard will guide you through the initial configuration of pfSense Firewall, click Next to continue.

3. Click Next.

4. Enter the Hostname, Domain, Primary DNS Server, and Secondary DNS Server, and click Next.

5. Enter the Time server hostname and Timezone, and click Next.

Configure WAN Interface
- In this tutorial, we choose Static IP. Static, DHCP, PPP, PPPoE, PPTP, and L2TP WAN configuration types support pfSense 2.7.2
General Configuration
- Leave settings as default, by default MTU of 1492 bytes for PPPoE and 1500 bytes for all other connections.
Static IP Configuration
- Enter the WAN IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Upstream Gateway.

7. Click Next.

8. The current LAN IP Address and Subnet Mask appear on this screen. Configure the LAN Interface and Click Next.

9. Set the Admin password, which is used to access the WebGUI and also SSH services if enabled, and click Next.

10. Click Reload to reload pfSense with new changes.

12. Click Finish to finish the initial configuration of pfSense Firewall.

13. Click Accept.
